Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
This policy explains how Paletile handles information when you browse the site or use its features. A user account is not required for normal browsing.
1. Information We Collect
Standard server logs may process an IP address, browser information, request time, and requested URL. Paletile does not currently use a third-party analytics service.
2. Cookies and Local Storage
Cookies are used where needed to operate site features. Browser local storage may be used to remember interface state where applicable. You can control cookies and stored site data through your browser settings, although removing them may reset feature preferences.
3. Analytics
Paletile does not currently use Google Analytics or another third-party analytics service. This policy will be updated before such a service is enabled.
4. Palette Likes
When you first like a palette, Paletile may create a random anonymous visitor token and store it in a cookie. The original token remains in the browser; a cryptographic hash of the token is stored with the palette like to prevent repeated likes from the same visitor. This feature does not require an account.
Likes are also used to show your favorite palettes on this browser.
Image Palette Processing
When you use Create from Image, the image you select is processed locally in your browser. The image and its pixel data are not uploaded to or stored on Paletile servers.
5. Advertising and Google AdSense
Paletile may use Google AdSense or other advertising services in the future. Advertising is not currently enabled. If advertising is activated, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Where applicable, advertising cookies may support ads based on visits to Paletile and other websites.
Google and its partners may process information for advertising, measurement, and personalization purposes. Users may be able to manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s advertising settings and applicable consent controls. Other advertising vendors may use their own cookies subject to their respective policies.

6. Third-Party Services
Any analytics or advertising provider used in the future may collect or receive information under its own terms and privacy policies. Paletile does not control the data practices of those services.
7. How We Use Information
Information is used to operate and secure Paletile, provide features such as palette likes, understand site usage, diagnose technical issues, prevent abuse, and improve the site. Paletile does not sell users’ personal information.
8. Data Retention and Security
Information is retained only as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, legal obligations, security, and service operation. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices
You may clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser and use the controls offered by relevant third-party services. Depending on your location, Paletile may display a consent or privacy message that allows you to manage choices related to cookies, advertising, and data processing.
10. Children’s Privacy
Paletile is a general-audience design reference and is not directed to children. Paletile does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when site practices, services, or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page will identify the latest revision.
